Syfy hat sich heute die Ausstrahlungsrechte für die IDW Publishing Comic Adaption Wynonna Earp gesichert. SEVEN24 Films und IDW Entertainment warden die 13-teilige Miniserie produzieren. Als Showrunner fungiert Emily Andras (Lost Girl, Killjoys), in den Hauptrollen sehen wir Melanie Scrofano (Damien, Gangland Undercover) als Wynonna Earp, Tim Rozon (Being Human, Instant Star) als Sidekick Doc Holliday und Shamier Anderson (Defiance, Constantine) als mysteriösen Agenten Dolls.
Zorro meets Buffy
Wynonna Earp soll als action-geladener Thriller funktionieren. Die Handlung stellt Wyatt Earps Enkelin, Wynonna Earp, in ihrem Kampf gegen Dämonen und andere übernatürliche Geschöpfe in den Mittelpunkt der Handlung. Es wird also ein Western Setting bunt gemischt mit Dämonen schnetzeln und Geister jagen. Die Serie soll im April 2016 in den USA starten.
